You will execute breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus, adapt recipes for dietary needs, and collaborate with nursing staff to align care plans.

The role emphasizes high sanitation standards, ServSafe guidelines, and a resident-first approach, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time schedules.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of cook experience, hospital or healthcare facility preferred.
• Current ServSafe Manager certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
• Ability to read and calculate recipes and production sheets with attention to timing.
• Requires a current Food Handler's card issued by local Health Department.
• Active CPR/BLS certification maintained during employment.
• Experience in quantity food preparation and maintaining high sanitation standards.
• Demonstrates initiative and sound judgment in meal setup and using leftovers.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment and collaborate with other departments.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with department workers and nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious, flavorful meals for residents across care levels.
• Execute daily menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with proper temperature and presentation.
• Create alternative options and snacks for changing appetites.
• Adapt recipes to dietary needs (low-sodium, diabetic-friendly, vegetarian, texture-modified).
• Support memory care dining with age-appropriate textures and pacing.
• Maintain a calm, clean, and welcoming dining environment.
• Adhere to ServSafe guidelines and ensure sanitation of kitchen and prep areas.
• Monitor temperatures and log daily readings for quality control.
• Collaborate with Dietary/Dining Services Director and nursing staff on care plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
