Homestead of Algona is seeking a Cook to join our caring team in a cozy senior community offering assisted living and memory care. You will prepare nutritious meals and ensure a warm dining experience for residents.

Responsibilities include cooking meals, maintaining safety and cleanliness, coordinating with dietary staff, managing inventory, and delivering excellent service to residents.

Qualifications

• Prior kitchen or culinary experience.
• Knowledge of dietary restrictions and menu planning.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents across breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and follow sanitation standards.
• Plan and prepare special meals for events such as birthdays and holidays.
• Collaborate with the dietary team on menus and dietary needs.
• Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed.
