Job summary

Portside at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Cook to prepare wholesome, nutritious meals for residents and to maintain high safety and sanitation standards. The Cook reports to the Dining Services Director and works as part of a welcoming, team-oriented dining team.

The role requires a minimum of two years cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality, with Serv-Safe certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years cooking experience, preferably in healthcare or hospitality.
• Serv-Safe Certification preferred.
• Must read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve all food items using high quality ingredients and appropriate garnishes.
• Record and monitor food temperatures during storage, preparation, cooking, and serving.
• Label, date, and properly store all foods.
• Monitor and record temperatures of all kitchen refrigerators and freezers daily.
• Follow established safety procedures while operating kitchen equipment.
• Mop and clean kitchen as needed.
