Job summary

Dial Senior Living in Westminster, CO seeks a dedicated Cook to independently prepare meals and support food production for residents, maintaining high quality and safety standards. You will work with the Sous or Executive Chef to adapt recipes for dietary needs and ensure attractive plating.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food safety and dietary guidelines.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to work in a team to support residents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of meals for residents with attention to quality and presentation.
• Alter or adapt recipes to accommodate dietary needs and improve recipes.
• Ensure attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving.
• Identify food and supplies needed for the next week’s menus and report to the supervisor.
• Participate in new menu and special menu planning.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and kitchen/storage areas.
• Ensure proper handling, labeling and storage of food for infection control.
• Prepare meats for storage and portion control upon delivery.
• Assist with dishwashing and kitchen sanitation, as needed.
• Notify manager of food supply needs and equipment malfunctions.
• Record Ready–to–Use items into the TELS website (three per meal).
• Record temperatures in the TELS website.
• Report on-the-job injuries to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Other duties as assigned.
