Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Mountainside, NJ is seeking a Cook to prepare meals according to standardized recipes, ensure quality and safety, and support dining services across residents.

You’ll record temperatures, stock and rotate inventory, and maintain clean kitchens and equipment. When the Dining Services Coordinator is away, you may lead food production with Sunrise offering growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator
