Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a part-time Cook to support our Redmond, WA dining program. You will prepare meals per standardized recipes, maintain high food quality and presentation, and ensure compliance with dietary modifications while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen, assist with dining service as needed, and contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook in a senior living or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain food safety standards.
• Strong time management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards.
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements.
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures.
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations.
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas.
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed.
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator.
