Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Thousand Oaks is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our kitchen team and prepare meals for residents in a warm, community setting.

You will read recipes, follow guides, maintain sanitation, and collaborate with colleagues to deliver dining that supports residents’ well-being. Eligible for paid holidays, PTO, health, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare.
• Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, guides, cleaning schedules and logs.

Responsibilities

• Join the kitchen staff in preparing and cooking food for residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents, employees and coworkers.
• Understand that dining in the restaurant-style atmosphere can be the highlight of our residents’ day.
• Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe and sanitary condition at all times.
