Job summary

Discovery Management Group is seeking a dedicated Cook to enrich the lives of residents at Castle Hills by preparing high-quality meals. You will follow menu cycles, maintain safe kitchen practices, and contribute to a warm, home-like dining experience for our senior residents.

You will work as part of a culinary team to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to recipes, while supporting a clean and efficient kitchen environment and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Experience in senior living or a similar environment preferred.
• Knowledge of production methods, portion control, and food safety/handling required.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
• High attention to detail, especially in presentation and plating.
• Availability to work weekends as part of the regular schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of hot and cold menu items, including grill, sauté, salad bar, and service line.
• Follow standardized recipes to ensure proper preparation, portioning, taste, and presentation.
• Taste and check food for quality, palatability, and adherence to culinary standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all food preparation and service areas.
• Support a safe, sanitary, and efficient kitchen environment per food safety guidelines.
