Job summary

The Legacy of Southpointe, a Navion Senior Living community, is seeking cooks to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals in a high-quality Assisted Living and Memory Care setting. Our cooks will apply culinary and managerial skills to enhance resident satisfaction and meal experience.

Qualifications

• Maintains a current ServSafe certificate or able to participate in training to become ServSafe certified.
• High School diploma or GED accepted.
• A culinary apprenticeship or training is preferred.
• One year job related experience including food preparation and therapeutic diets.
• Three years’ experience in healthcare, hospitality or service environments preferred.
• CPR & First-Aid certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ability to prepare palatable foods that are appetizing in appearance.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitary requirements.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Pleasant, friendly and helpful at all times ensuring proper and timely service.
• Well-groomed and able to follow dress requirements.
