Job summary

Marycrest Assisted Living-Serenity Residence is seeking a passionate Cook to prepare nutritious meals for a senior living community. You will ensure meals are tasty, properly portioned, and served with hospitality, while following dietary guidelines and safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork in a fast-paced kitchen, flexibility for resident preferences, and participation in special events and meal setup/cleanup. Certification in food handling is required or obtainable upon hire.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required; senior living or healthcare setting a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and dietary needs (e.g. diabetic, low-sodium).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced kitchen team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, storage, and serving areas.
• Interact with residents warmly and respectfully during meal service; assist with special events as needed.
