Job summary

Paylocity is seeking a Cook to join our dining services team on a PRN basis. The role reports to the Executive Chef/Dining Manager and focuses on quality food preparation in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting residents’ well-being and experiences.

You will cook and bake, help serve meals, manage inventory, and assist with catering and special events. A ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain one within 60 days is required; strong teamwork and customer

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or considered with relevant experience.
• 2-4 years of cooking experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of multiple cooking techniques including baking, sauté, fry, sauces, and cold prep.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Cook and bake in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
• Assist with serving meals and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and dining area.
• Support catering, room service, and special event needs.
• Take drink and food orders as required.
• Sanitize, set, and bus tables; maintain inventory and assist with food cost controls.
• Follow sanitation regulations and safety rules for food handling and storage.
• Complete daily kitchen and dining room duties checklist.
• Assist with Sales/Marketing activities to enhance resident satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
