UMC Bristol Glen in Newton, NJ is hiring a full-time Cook to prepare lunch and dinner for residents. The role offers a 10:30am to 7pm shift with no early mornings, and every other weekend off, with pay between $19 and $22 per hour based on experience.

You will follow menus, maintain food safety, support special dining events, keep a clean kitchen, and work with a team to ensure high-quality meals for residents across independent, assisted, memory care, and skilled nursing settings.

Qualifications

• 1 year of cooking experience in restaurant, school, hospital, or senior living kitchens.
• Able to read recipes and food labels, and communicate about food safety and allergies.
• Experience with special diets or healthcare kitchen environments is a plus.
• ServSafe or Food Protection Manager certificate is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and cook meals for residents using established menus, recipes, and serving guidelines.
• Create appealing, high-quality dishes while maintaining proper temperatures and presentation.
• Follow safe food handling, sanitation, and dietary guidelines throughout meal preparation and service.
• Support special dining events, seasonal celebrations, and other community meal functions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen workspace.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth meal service and a positive dining experience for residents.
