Job summary

Boden Senior Living of Apple Valley is seeking a Chef/Cook to join our growing team. Located in Apple Valley, MN, the community serves Assisted Living, Independent Living, and Memory Care with a 64-unit campus. Shifts include full-time afternoons (10am-6:30pm) with wage range $17.50-$22.50 per hour.

You will prepare food per resident diet specifications, follow procedures, and ensure sanitary standards are met while collaborating with a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in a senior living setting is preferred.
• Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, residents families, and employees.
• Must possess advanced computer skills, including email use.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food and meals in accordance with planned menus, diet plans, recipes, portions, and temperature control procedures.
• Direct and assist in cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and floors, dishes, and utensils.
• Check all trays for menu and diet requirements and preference and accuracy.
• Ensure proper storage for food and supplies.
• Review and process diet changes and ensure menus are maintained and followed in accordance with established procedures.
