Job summary

Merrill Gardens at Hillsboro is seeking a Senior Living Caregiver to support residents with daily living activities and ensure a safe, dignified environment. You will help residents with dressing, bathing, meals, and daily routines, while fostering independence and comfort.

The role also involves medication management as allowed by state regulations and timely documentation of resident progress, with a strong emphasis on reliability, compassion, and teamwork within a family-oriented community.

Qualifications

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by state agency or ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years previous experience as a caregiver
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and completing daily progress reports of services provided.
• Completes progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed.

If you are someone with:

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday.
