Job summary

Merrill Gardens, LLC is seeking a Senior Living Caregiver to support residents at Sunshine Villa, a Merrill Gardens Community in Santa Cruz, CA.

You will assist with activities of daily living, manage medications as allowed by state regulations, and complete daily progress reports. We offer both full-time and part-time roles with benefits, EAP, tuition reimbursement, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• CNA license or two years of caregiver experience required.
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR within 30 days.
• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by the state agency or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, meals, laundry, and general care.
• Manage medication as allowed by the state and complete daily progress reports of services provided.
• Complete progress reports for Assisted Living & Garden House residents daily or more often if needed (chart by exception).

Education

CNA license or two years of caregiver experience

Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days

If you are someone with:

• Current caregiver training/certification as specified by the state agency or the ability to obtain.
• CNA license or two years of previous experience as a caregiver.
• Ability to obtain first aid/CPR certification within 30 days of employment.

Actual pay rate within stated pay range is determined based on relevant factors in compliance with state and local wage laws. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire.

Physical Requirements:

This role involves frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), and assisting with resident care. Regular bending, reaching, and physical movement are required throughout the workday. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
