Job summary

Discovery Senior Living seeks a dedicated Care Giver to provide hands-on care and emotional support for residents in a safe, home-like environment. The role emphasizes dignity, independence, and compassionate service delivered within a structured senior living setting.

Qualified candidates should have CNA certification preferred, a High School diploma or GED, and a genuine interest in helping seniors. Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist within a values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification preferred.
• High School diploma/GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Previous experience with seniors preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
• Helping residents maintain independence, promoting dignity and physical safety.
• Assisting residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.
• Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
