Job summary

Integral Senior Living (ISL) is seeking a skilled Director of Resident Care to lead care services across California communities. You will supervise staff, maintain regulatory compliance, and oversee training and development for caregivers and medication aides.

In this role, you will coordinate staffing, manage assessments, and collaborate with physicians, families, and other departments to ensure high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certifications as required by the state.
• Prefer 1 year experience providing residential care to elderly or dementia care.
• Prefer 6 months supervisory experience in health-related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure provision of resident care and compliance with Federal and State policies.
• Interview, hire, evaluate, coordinate, motivate, monitor staff under Director of Resident Care; focus on dementia care candidates.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling to meet policy, budget, and state requirements.
• Oversee continuing education and staff development for caregivers and med aides as regulated by licensing.
• Conduct or schedule orientation and training to ensure staff understand goals, policies, and procedures of the department.
• Monitor/deliver personal care services and medications; ensure documentation (charting, ADL, meds) is complete.
• Maintain Eldermark data entry for resident care profiles and documentation.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Act as care manager; communicate with physicians/families and represent the property to professionals and residents.
• Coordinate prescription orders with doctors and pharmacies; supervise storage/delivery of meds.
• Assist with infection control program monitoring and compliance by staff.
• Conduct property tours and promote the property; support referral development and maintain high census.
• Participate in safety procedures and ensure a safe environment; coordinate supplies and equipment inventory.
• Provide information on resident care needs to Director of Resident Care and participate in daily stand-up meetings.
• Assist in budget preparation and monitor department costs.
