The Vered is a modern senior living community in Encino, California, seeking an Assisted Living Care Associate to provide compassionate, personalized support to residents in daily activities while promoting independence and well-being.

The ideal candidate is attentive, dependable, and passionate about working with older adults, delivering warm, respectful care in a hospitality-forward environment. Weekend and holiday availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in assisted living, senior living, caregiving, healthcare, hospitality, or related environment preferred.
• Compassionate and respectful approach to working with older adults.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow individualized resident service plans and community procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility) per service plans.
• Encourage independence while providing appropriate assistance.
• Observe residents and report changes to nursing team.
• Complete resident documentation accurately per policies.
• Respond promptly to call lights and pendants with courteous service.
• Conduct rounds to support safety and well-being.
• Assist dining services and aid residents during meals as needed.
• Support life enrichment activities and community events.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry tasks; keep resident areas clean.
• Follow infection prevention and control practices and safety procedures.
• Assist new residents with transition into the community.
• Participate in resident service plan meetings as requested.
• Provide emergency assistance within scope and procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing, dining, life enrichment and other teams.
