Job summary

The Peaks Assisted Living Community in Flagstaff, AZ is hiring a full-time Assistant Executive Director to support the Executive Director and lead on resident-focused services. The role requires overseeing operations, ensuring consistent standards, and guiding staff across the community.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of healthcare management experience in senior living and an active Assisted Living Manager license for Arizona.

Qualifications

• Must meet state and federal requirements for this position.
• 2+ years of healthcare management experience.
• Active Assisted Living Manager license for AZ or licensure requirements met.

Responsibilities

• Provide an environment for residents that fosters positive outcomes.
• Assist with planning, organizing and implementing services, programs and activities.
• Develop, update policies and procedures, job descriptions and resident care forms.
• Provide direction and supervision to all staff.
• Submit reports to Regional Director regarding facility performance.
• Conduct property inspections and document results.
• Improve employee and resident relations to boost survey scores.
• Assist with vendor issues for quality and pricing.
• Prepare for state surveys and coordinate with Regional Director.
• Attend continuing education programs related to the role.
• Liaise with Regional staff to ensure company compliance.
• Represent the facility and its mission to residents and staff.
• Assist with crisis management and respond to emergencies.
• Review and resolve grievances and complaints from residents.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
