Hcshiring seeks an Activity Assistant to support our Life Engagement team in Michigan. You will help design and run programs that engage residents across mind, body, and spirit, fostering a welcoming and lively atmosphere.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year of elderly care experience, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. The role includes driving duties and event preparation, with perks supporting work-life balance and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience working with the elderly.
• First Aid certification and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Help establish a program of activities that stimulates the mind, body, and soul.
• Foster a positive atmosphere with leisure activities for residents' spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs.
• Promote residents’ attendance at events and activities.
• Assist in preparation of activity calendar and input of newsletter.
• Conduct activity programs as assigned.
• Drive community van and bus as needed.
• Assist with decorations for holidays and special occasions.
• Assist residents with gardening projects.
• Arrange for appropriate spiritual activities as reflected by resident preferences.
