Job summary

Riverview Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to deliver engaging programs that enhance residents' social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being. This temporary role offers daily pay and the possibility to transition to full-time.

Located in Rhode Island, the facility values compassionate care and teamwork and serves a 190-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care population.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of experience in an Activities Department, healthcare setting, or related environment preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment that enhances residents' quality of life.
• Document resident participation and engagement in activities.
• Promote residents' social, physical, emotional, and intellectual well-being.
• Plan, develop, organize, and implement recreational and community programs.
• Build relationships with residents and encourage participation based on interests.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident care goals.
• Observe and communicate changes in moods or participation to the team.
• Assist with community outreach and marketing events.
