Qualifications

• Experience working in a skilled nursing or assisted living setting.
• One year experience with recreational programming in a geriatric setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and implements activities which stress recreation, diversion, and intellectual/educational development for Residents; manages day-to-day concerns of the Residents.
• Maintains driver’s license and safe driving record; transports residents to on-site and off-site activities and appointments.
• Assists with transporting residents in wheelchairs to activities and organizes trips and events.
• Encourages and implements social programs to foster communication among residents through group activities.
• Assists in organization of crafts, hobbies, films, and religious activities; maintains activity calendars and documentation.
