Tutera Senior Living & Health Care is seeking an Activities Director in Sergeant Bluff, IA to design and execute a vibrant activity program for residents. You will organize social and recreational activities aligned with individual care plans and tailored to meet diverse resident needs.

The role requires passion for seniors, strong communication, and professional presentation, with preference for Certified Activities Director accreditation and LTC experience.

Qualifications

• A fire and passion for working with seniors.
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality.
• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area. Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a program of activity and leisure pursuits for residents.
• Ensure activities align with the comprehensive resident care plan and address social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs.
