Job summary

Tutera Senior Living & Health Care seeks an Activities Director for Reserve at Mission in Overland Park, KS. You will lead planning, organizing, and implementing enriching activity programs that meet residents' social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs as outlined in each care plan.

Ideal candidates have a passion for seniors, strong communication, and relevant certification or licensing; a Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related field is required or

Qualifications

• A fire and passion for working with seniors.
• A flexible, fun, and energetic personality.
• Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or related area; should be licensed or registered.
• Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting.
• Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years, one of which must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Professional image in both appearance and behavior.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and implement a program of activity and leisure pursuits designed to meet residents' social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interests.
• Ensure activities align with the comprehensive resident care plan.
• Collaborate with care team to provide engaging and meaningful resident experiences.
