Job summary

Morningstar Residential Care Center is seeking a dedicated Activities Assistant to design, organize, and run engaging programs that promote the physical, emotional, and social well‑being of our residents. You will collaborate with the activities director and care team to tailor activities, encourage participation, maintain records, and build positive relationships with residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience with seniors or individuals with disabilities.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily activities, including arts and crafts, games, outings, and special events.
• Develop and implement individualized activity plans to meet residents' needs and interests.
• Collaborate with the activities director to develop programs aligned with our mission and values.
• Provide one-on-one attention to residents to encourage socialization and participation.
• Maintain accurate records of resident participation and activity plans.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team-building activities.
