Albany Health and Rehabilitation in New Albany, IN, is looking for an Activity Assistant to join our Activities team on a full-time basis. If you are energetic, creative, compassionate, and enjoy bringing a smile to residents, this role may be for you.

You will plan and implement resident activities, encourage participation, help with crafts, games, events, and document progress. We value teamwork with the Activities Director and care about providing a fun, welcoming environment while supporting

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (Word/Excel).
• Understanding of best activities practices and resident engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and implement resident activities.
• Encourage residents to participate in individual and group activities.
• Assist with games, crafts, music, special events, outings, and celebrations.
• Spend one-on-one time with residents based on interests and needs.
• Help decorate and prepare for events and holidays.
• Create a positive, friendly environment and work with the Activities Director.
