Briarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Needham, MA is seeking an Activities Assistant for a full-time role. The position offers $15.50 to $22 per hour, all-inclusive, and focuses on enriching residents' social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being.

The role involves planning engaging programs, documenting participation, and collaborating with the care team to enhance resident satisfaction. Prior experience with seniors is preferred; HS diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in an Activities Department or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience working with seniors is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming, engaging environment for residents.
• Document resident participation in activities.
• Promote residents' well-being through meaningful activities.
• Plan and implement recreational and social programs.
• Build relationships and encourage participation based on interests and abilities.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support care goals.
• Observe changes in mood or participation and report them.
• Assist with community outreach and marketing events.
• Complete required administrative tasks and records.
• Prepare, decorate, set up, and break down activities and events.
• Escort and transport residents to activities as needed.
