Job summary

Lincoln Meadows Care Center is seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to enrich residents' lives through engaging programs and social activities. This full-time position requires open availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays, with a starting pay of $17.00 per hour.

You will plan, lead, and support a variety of recreational activities, while documenting participation and collaborating with nursing staff to ensure quality of life for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in activities, healthcare, customer service, or working with seniors is a plus, but not required.
• Friendly, compassionate, dependable, and patient.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to meet all employment and background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assist with daily recreational, social, and therapeutic activities.
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual activities.
• Lead games, arts and crafts, music, exercise programs, holiday celebrations, and special events.
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
• Build positive relationships with residents while promoting dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Prepare activity supplies and maintain activity areas.
• Document resident participation and assist with activity records.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other departments to provide exceptional resident care.
• Follow all facility policies and safety procedures.
