Job summary

Ciel Senior Living in Germantown, Tennessee, is seeking a Life Enrichment Assistant to develop and coordinate activity programs that reflect residents' interests and provide meaningful, life-enriching experiences for seniors.

You will recruit and train volunteers, manage monthly calendars, host events, and collaborate with staff to enhance physical, social, intellectual, and artistic engagement while ensuring safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating and coordinating activities for older adults.
• Ability to supervise, lead, and motivate people.
• Able to delegate responsibility while maintaining oversight of daily activities and major projects.
• Experience in volunteer recruitment and training preferred.
• Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed/scheduled.
• Knowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision to the elderly.
• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, preferred two years of college specializing in recreational activities.
• Must have strong understanding of the English language sufficient to read, write and interpret administrative information.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteer members and staff involvement in activities.
• Attend training courses and maintain LMS-driven certifications.
• Other duties as assigned to support resident happiness and community success.
• Communicate program details and upcoming events to department supervisors.
• Create daily/monthly activity calendars with dates, times, and locations.
• Coordinate and host special events, including holiday events, and decorate the community accordingly.
• Provide a forum for resident feedback and share it with leadership.
• Maintain equipment within budgetary guidelines and arrange transportation as needed.
• Cultivate opportunities for residents to engage in various community centers and service projects.
