Job summary

Western Home Communities seeks a Leisure Services Assistant to bring joy, connection, and purpose to residents' days. You will plan and lead activities, build relationships with residents and families, and support a vibrant community where every person is valued.

You will assist in planning group and individual activities, carry out a monthly calendar, and help with transportation to events while following safety standards. A compassionate, reliable team member with strong communication is ideal.

Qualifications

• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and participation in activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading group and one-on-one leisure activities.
• Develop and carry out a monthly activity calendar with social, recreational, and wellness opportunities.
• Safely transport and assist residents to activities and outings.
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and volunteers.
• Observe residents during activities and communicate concerns to nursing staff.
• Maintain participation records and activity documentation.
