Responsibilities

• Plan activities that meet resident needs for large groups, small groups and individuals.
• Observe and report attendance, participation and behavior changes.
• Support care planning by sharing observations of resident needs, preferences and changes.
• Coordinate activity programs with community volunteers and assign tasks.
• Meet and greet new residents upon arrival to the facility.
• Maintain infection control and safety precautions at all times.
• Engage residents with warmth and respect, promoting a caring environment.
• Interact with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors effectively.
• Report hazardous conditions, equipment or supply issues to the supervisor.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
