Job summary

National Health Care Associates' Winship Green in Bath, ME is seeking an Activities Assistant to plan and lead engaging recreational and therapeutic activities for our residents. You will collaborate with the Activities Director to create a monthly calendar and provide one-on-one support to residents who need assistance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in Long-Term Care or senior living settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Compassionate and empathetic nature.
• Interest in the therapeutic needs of the aged and ability to work with the chronically ill.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and executing a diverse range of activities for residents.
• Engage residents in arts and crafts, games, music, and other recreational programs.
• Collaborate with the Activities Director to develop and implement a monthly activities calendar.
• Provide one-on-one support for residents who may need additional assistance.
• Foster a sense of community and social interaction among residents.
• Document and maintain records of residents' participation in activities.
