Job summary

Ashton Commons Senior Living in Wexford, PA is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Full-Time Activities Assistant to join our Life Enrichment team. You’ll help plan, lead, and participate in a variety of recreational, social, educational, and wellness programs that engage residents and enhance quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in senior living, recreation, activities, customer service, or related field preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, compassionate, and enthusiastic personality.
• Creative, organized, and dependable.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required for special events.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing daily activities, events, and outings for residents.
• Encourage resident participation in group and individual programs.
• Lead activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, music, social gatherings, and holiday celebrations.
• Assist with decorating for seasonal events and community celebrations.
• Help transport residents to and from activities as needed.
• Build positive relationships with residents and their families.
• Maintain activity supplies and assist with program setup and cleanup.
• Document resident participation and communicate observations to the Life Enrichment Director.
• Follow all community policies and safety procedures.
