Job summary

Anna Maria of Aurora Inc in Aurora, OH is recruiting for a flexible PRN activities assistant in a senior living community. The role offers a predictable weekend schedule, with every third weekend worked and additional opportunities to cover holidays and staff vacations.

You will assist with daily activities programs, lead group activities and events, provide one‑on‑one engagement for residents, and help plan activities to enhance quality of life and social well‑being for residents.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with dementia/alzheimer's is helpful but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in activities, recreation, healthcare, or senior living is a plus.
• Open to entry-level healthcare, caregiver, or CNA-related experience.
• Friendly, patient, and dependable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities programs in a nursing home / senior living setting
• Lead and support group activities, games, crafts, music, and events
• Provide one‑by‑one engagement for residents
• Encourage participation in recreational and therapeutic activities
• Support activity planning and documentation
• Help coordinate holiday events, outings, and social programs
• Work with the care team to support resident‑centered care plans
