Job summary

Merrill Gardens at West Chester is seeking an experienced Senior Living Active Living Program Director to plan, coordinate, and lead a diverse calendar of resident activities that nurture social, cultural, physical, spiritual, and intellectual well-being.

You will supervise staff and volunteers, manage monthly budgets for supplies and events, partner with community organizations, and ensure welcoming, inclusive programs that reflect residents’ interests and needs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Three years of related experience, training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three years of social activity leadership preferred; senior living experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop Activities: plan, coordinate, and participate in a variety of events to create a vibrant community life for residents.
• Market and tour: conduct community tours and assist in planning events to attract prospective residents.
• Liaise with senior centers, churches, and community groups to build partnerships and volunteer opportunities.
• Supervise Active Living Assistant and/or volunteers; manage monthly budgets for activity supplies and staff as appropriate.
• Order and manage supplies for all activities and ensure equipment and vehicles meet safety standards.
