Gamer’s Choice in Queens, NY is seeking an experienced live stream sales host to drive sales on Whatnot, TikTok, and other platforms. You will own the stream from start to finish, showcasing products, engaging viewers, and converting interest into purchases, with a focus on Pokémon TCG items.

You will bring your Pokémon knowledge and sales skills to a fast-paced show, maintain an energetic presence, and contribute to the growth of our livestream program while collaborating with the team on

Gamer’s Choice is a team of passionate gamers, creators, and innovators based in Queens, New York. What began as a small local shop has grown into one of the leading destinations for Trading Card Game players and collectors around the world. We’re driven by a shared love for gaming and community, offering both an engaging online experience and a vibrant in-store atmosphere. Our mission is to be the ultimate home for fans to connect, compete, and celebrate the games they love. While Yu-Gi-Oh! has always been our foundation, we’re expanding into exciting new titles like Pokémon, One Piece, Riftbound, and Disney Lorcana. Our Long Island City store serves as the heart of our community, hosting tournaments, events, and gatherings that bring players together both in person and online.

Role: We’re adding an experienced live stream sales host to our team! You’ll host high-energy sales shows on Whatnot, TikTok, and other platforms, owning the stream from open to close: product showcasing, viewer engagement, conversions, and a fun, community-focused atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who already knows how to sell live, or who knows Pokémon TCG well enough to make every pack, card, and pull worth watching — ideally both.

Location: 43-34 32nd Place, Long Island City, NY 11101.

Schedule: Full-Time, Tuesday - Saturday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm

Compensation: $23.00 - $35.00 per hour DOE. Top of range for proven live sellers with demonstrated sales results.

Responsibilities:

• Host engaging, high-energy live sales events through our live show/streaming platforms, showcasing and selling TCG products to a live audience.
• Use effective sales techniques to highlight product features, build urgency for limited-time or exclusive items, and drive conversions.
• Bring Pokémon TCG expertise to every show: set knowledge, chase cards, pull rates, and current market values, so you can educate and excite buyers in real time.
• Speak confidently about singles, sealed product, graded cards (PSA, CGC, BGS), and collectible trends.
• Run show formats like breaks, pack openings, auctions, and giveaways at a fast pace.
• Create a fun, welcoming, and interactive environment that responds to viewer questions, encourages participation, and fosters community.
• Help build and grow the Pokémon side of our livestream program as we expand the category.
• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm creative show themes, promotions, and strategies to grow viewership and sales.
• Track and analyze sales performance and viewer engagement metrics to improve future streams.
• Prepare and organize all products, technical equipment, and visual displays before each stream to ensure a seamless experience.
• Keep the streaming floor organized, well-supplied, and fully prepared before each shift to reduce downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Maintain quality control by ensuring accurate listings, giveaways, and consistent adherence to streaming SOPs.
• Resolve or escape technical issues (camera, mic, Whatnot listing errors) to management or tech teams.

Requirements:

• Comfortable on camera with a charismatic, confident, and personable on-screen presence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (or Google Sheets) for data entry, inventory tracking, and reporting.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced, live-selling environment.
• Physically able to lift and move boxes/products as needed.
• Ability to manage technical setup for a live stream environment, including basic troubleshooting of audio/video issues.
• The ability to work independently, starting, managing, and closing a live show with limited guidance, once trained.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player mindset.

At least one of the following:

• 1+ year hosting live sales streams (Whatnot, TikTok Live, or similar) with a track record of hitting sales targets.
• Deep Pokémon TCG knowledge as a longtime collector, player, or seller, with a strong understanding of card values and market trends.

Nice to haves:

• Both live selling experience and deep Pokémon TCG knowledge.
• An existing audience or following on a live shopping platform.
• Knowledge of other TCGs we carry: Yu-Gi-Oh!, One Piece, Riftbound, Disney Lorcana.
• Basic video or audio setup knowledge (lights, camera, mic, etc.).

• Strong sales performance, meeting show-specific sales targets, driven by effective product showcasing, urgency creation, and smooth pacing throughout each stream.
• Become a trusted Pokémon voice for our audience, driving repeat buyers and growth in the Pokémon category.
• Consistently high‑engagement streams that keep viewers active through chat interaction, questions, and community‑building.
• Accurate, organized stream prep including product setup, equipment readiness, and visually clean displays that ensure seamless shows.
