Job summary

The Freeman Company is seeking a Senior Technical Director to lead the Studio Blue team’s technical strategy, overseeing complex event programs from planning through on-site execution. This role partners with clients, sales, operations and production teams to deliver scalable, profitable experiences.

Based in a flexible hybrid environment with travel 25%–50%, the ideal candidate has 15 years in project management and 10+ years in corporate events, plus strong Vectorworks CAD skills and

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical direction for large events and experiential programs.
• Proven ability to develop scalable production standards and SOPs.
• Strong client relationships and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provides senior technical leadership across complex, high-profile event programs.
• Mentors Technical Directors and guides multi-discipline teams.
• Develops event designs, production plans, staffing models and budgets.
• Supports proposals, estimates, and RFP responses for new business.
• Oversees onsite production, safety, and labour coordination.
• Creates production books, schedules, and vendor coordination docs.
