Job summary

The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at the U.S. House of Representatives seeks a Senior Audiovisual Specialist in the House Recording Studio to operate and maintain audiovisual systems for high-profile events across the House campus.

The role requires experience with microphones, projectors, video conferencing, lighting, and data connectivity; occasional weekends and late nights; training contract technicians; and a proactive approach to upgrades, safety, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Five years of audiovisual event support experience in theaters, corporations, government, or similar venues.
• Experience interfacing with customers during live events under pressure.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues quickly and calmly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and deploy audio/video equipment for high-profile events across House facilities.
• Serve as HRS subject matter expert on campus audiovisual systems.
• Coordinate and deploy contract Audiovisual Technicians for events.
• Interface with clients to ensure proper layout and connectivity of AV equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment organized and safe.
