Job summary

Great Ecology, part of True Environmental and its partner firms, seeks a Senior Litigation Specialist focused on Coastal Restoration to provide senior-level litigation expertise for coastal restoration projects and support expert witness testimony in federal and state proceedings.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, review technical deliverables, mentor junior staff, and help drive business development while communicating findings to legal, regulatory, and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Coastal Science, Environmental Science, Ecology or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting and A/E/C with focus on coastal restoration.
• Demonstrated experience in litigation support on environmental cases.
• A high level of professionalism, integrity, ethics, and commitment to environmental sustainability
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business software
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels

Senior Litigation Specialist - Coastal Restoration

Louisiana, California, Nationwide - Regular Full-Time

As the Senior Litigation Specialist, you will be responsible for providing senior level litigation expertise for the Coastal Restoration business. This role plays a key role in our coastal restoration technical excellence group and plays a key role in business development.

About the Role

• Provide senior-level expertise for coastal restoration projects throughout True Environmental, providing direction on project design, planning, and execution.
• Support expert witness testimony in federal and state proceedings involving coastal processes and restoration.
• Interface with multidisciplinary project teams to integrate coastal restoration expertise across environmental, engineering, and regulatory service lines.
• Review and approve technical deliverables including reports, plans, and regulatory submissions.
• Prepare and review expert reports, rebuttal documents, and technical memoranda for litigation and regulatory proceedings.
• Provide technical leadership on coastal restoration issues.
• Present findings clearly to legal, regulatory, and non-technical audiences.
• Drive strategic business development efforts, including large pursuits, partnerships, and emerging markets.
• Lead business development efforts through proposal development, scope development and presentations to clients.
• Provide technical input to projects within your area(s) of expertise.
• Interface with other technical experts to achieve multidisciplinary project goals.
• Mentor and provide technical training to junior and intermediate team members.
• Foster a high-performing, inclusive team culture by modelling company values, setting clear expectations, and developing an environment of trust, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

About You
