Brown Sims PC in South Florida is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support an active insurance defense docket in state and federal courts. The role requires handling deadlines, drafting and filing documents, and coordinating discovery from inception to trial.

Candidates should have recent Florida civil litigation experience, strong organizational and writing skills, and be proficient with Florida Courts E-Filing Portal and CM/ECF.

Qualifications

• Recent Florida civil litigation experience required.
• Ability to manage active docket with minimal supervision.
• Experience drafting discovery and filing documents.
• Strong organizational and writing skills.
• Billable time recording experience.

Responsibilities

• Review court orders, pleadings, discovery, and procedural requirements to identify, calendar, and monitor deadlines.
• Prepare documents for filing and electronically file via E-Filing Portals and CM/ECF.
• Draft interrogatories, requests for production, requests for admission, and responses to discovery.
• Prepare disclosures and supplemental disclosures for attorney review.
• Review and summarize medical records, claims files, and related documents.
• Prepare case analyses, chronologies, and litigation summaries for attorney review.
• Coordinate with records custodians, vendors, experts, and medical providers.
• Maintain Excel litigation trackers and case management reports.
• Record billable time entries accurately.
