Brown Sims in Houston seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a busy civil litigation practice. The role supports complex personal-injury, products liability, and commercial disputes, handling matters from investigation through trial in Texas state and federal courts.

You will work closely with attorneys, manage medical records, and coordinate with clients and courts. A paralegal certificate is required; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in insurance defense, personal injury, or general civil litigation.
• Demonstrated experience with medical records management and summaries.
• Strong knowledge of Texas Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules; comfort with e-filing in state courts and PACER/CM-ECF.

Responsabilités

• Direct communication with clients, witnesses, vendors, courts, and adjusters for status updates and case information.
• Manage medical records end-to-end and prepare chronologies.
• Drive case investigation by locating witnesses and gathering materials.
• Prepare and file pleadings in Texas state and federal courts (e-filing experience required).
• Draft subpoenas, deposition notices, and discovery responses.
• Prepare deposition/hearing binders and trial notebooks.
• Track and enter billable time with clear narratives.
