Job summary

Careerpathway llc is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal in California to support attorneys with active cases. You will organize case files, prepare filings, and manage deadlines while coordinating with courts, clients, and opposing counsel.

The role requires 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, strong knowledge of California procedures, and the ability to handle multiple cases independently. Paralegal certification is a plus, bilingual skills are a bonus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Strong understanding of California legal procedures.
• Experience preparing legal documents and handling court filings.
• Experience with discovery, subpoenas, depositions, and case preparation.
• Very strong organizational and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to independently handle multiple cases.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Previous experience training, mentoring, or supervising legal support staff.
• Paralegal certification is a plus.
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Help prepare and file legal documents.
• Organize and manage case files.
• Prepare paperwork for hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
• Help with information and document requests between both sides of a case.
• Send and track subpoenas and other legal notices.
• Keep track of important deadlines, court dates, and appointments.
• Communicate with courts, attorneys, clients, and other parties.
• Help attorneys prepare cases for hearings, settlements, and trials.
• Make sure cases continue moving forward without missing important deadlines.
• Communicate with clients and answer routine case-related questions.
• Work with and guide a legal assistant.
• Review assigned work to make sure it is accurate and completed on time.
