Job summary

Exelon Corporation seeks an Assistant General Counsel – Litigation to advise and represent the company, primarily in Delaware, across complex tort and commercial matters. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days a week and coordination with internal teams and outside counsel.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of specialized practice, a JD/LLB, and strong research, writing, and strategic communication skills to mitigate risks across Exelon’s business units.

Qualifications

• LLB or JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in relevant jurisdictions.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law.
• Strong legal research, analytical abilities and writing skills.
• Clear communication, both oral and written, under deadlines.
• Experience with complex tort and commercial matters is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal services and advice on complex tort and commercial matters and internal investigations, including representation in federal and state courts and directing outside counsel.
• Prepare and manage budgets and early matter assessments for matters involving outside counsel.
• Lead direction and project leadership for less experienced lawyers and staff.
• Identify and mitigate litigation risks across Exelon’s business units and across the company.
