The role involves handling substantive work from day one—drafting motions, taking depositions, and representing clients through trial, arbitration, and mediation.

The candidate will manage a busy docket, provide strategic counsel, and collaborate with partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Proven track record of drafting and arguing motions.
• Confidence navigating the California court system.
• Skilled at depositions and witness examinations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong analytical instincts and good judgment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Active member of the California State Bar.
• Background in construction or casualty claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and file motions, pleadings, and discovery with precision and persuasion.
• Represent clients in trials, arbitrations, depositions, and mediations.
• Keep clients and their insurers informed and confident throughout the process.
• Deliver sound legal advice grounded in real litigation experience.
• Own your docket — manage day-to-day litigation tasks and meet billable targets.
