Job summary

City of Atlanta is seeking a Supervising Attorney for the Litigation Division with a strong background in civil and employment litigation, as well as substantial trial experience. The role involves high‑level interaction with city leadership and multiple departments to manage complex matters.

The ideal candidate will supervise paralegals and staff, demonstrate excellent written and oral communication, and lead all phases of litigation from discovery through ADR in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree required.
• Must be a member of good standing with the State Bar of Georgia or able to obtain membership within one year.
• At least ten (10) years of post-graduate litigation experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle all stages of litigation including discovery, depositions and alternative dispute resolution.
• Supervise paralegals and/or administrative staff.
• Coordinate with Atlanta City Council, City Departments and other municipalities on complex legal matters.
