California Job Shop is seeking 4–5 experienced Litigation Attorneys to support our trial teams. This role focuses on civil litigation with a strong emphasis on insurance defense, handling high-volume caseloads in a remote-friendly setting within California.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of civil litigation experience, proficiency in case management, and the ability to collaborate with attorneys, clients, and claims professionals. Litigation and trial preparation experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in litigation.
• Strong civil litigation experience; insurance defense experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting active trial caseloads preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient with Microsoft Office and case management systems.

Responsabilités

• Independently manage and maintain assigned litigation files from inception through resolution.
• Support attorneys throughout all stages of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Maintain accurate and organized electronic case files, calendars, deadlines, pleadings, discovery, and other case-related documents.
• Track case deadlines, court dates, discovery responses, depositions, and expert disclosures.
• Assist attorneys with depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, claims adjusters, opposing counsel, experts, witnesses, and other parties as needed.
• Assist with drafting, preparing, organizing, and filing litigation documents.
• Monitor case activity and proactively communicate upcoming deadlines or outstanding items to attorneys.
• Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
