Job summary

Kitroser Lewis & Mighdoll, a respected boutique firm in North Palm Beach, seeks an experienced Litigation Associate to manage a civil litigation caseload from inception to resolution.

Candidates should have at least 7 years of substantive civil litigation, excellent research and writing, and strong advocacy. Prior estate/trust experience preferred but not required; hybrid work option after one year.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar in good standing.
• Minimum 7 years of substantive civil litigation experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage matters through multiple stages of litigation.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from strategy through discovery, mediation, and trial.
• Communicate proactively with clients regarding case developments, deadlines, and strategy.
• Develop case strategy, identify issues, assess risk, and provide recommendations.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, petitions, and discovery requests/responses for depositions and trial.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions/hearings and coordinate with experts as needed.
• Attend in-person and remote hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Lead or participate in settlement negotiations and advise clients on outcomes.
• Own deadlines, calendaring, and discovery obligations per firm protocols.
• Collaborate with partners, paralegals, and staff to manage caseloads and client needs.
• Pursue professional development in Trusts and Estates and Elder Law as applicable.
