Mokri Vanis & Jones LLP, a well-established California/Nevada law firm, seeks an attorney with 12+ years of experience in construction defect and/or general liability/personal injury to join our team. You will handle depositions, court appearances, mediations, and draft motions while maintaining client relationships.

Ideal candidates will have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, outstanding written and verbal communication, and the ability to build rapport with clients.

Qualifications

• 12+ years related experience or equivalent.
• JD degree and CA state bar license required.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Skills of persuasion and negotiation.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented.
• Strong computer skills and competency.
• Professional attitude and strong personal ethics.
• Administrative and managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on legal best practices and provide legal support.
• Prepare case file documents.
• Work with the legal team to compile comprehensive trial briefs.
• Draft and administer legal documents including contracts, memos, and motions.
• Review discovery documents and define the best course of action.
• Maintain a schedule of hearings, court appearances, and case conferences.
• Represent the company in trials and hearings.
• Facilitate depositions of experts and witnesses.
• Research and interpret law and rulings and anticipate legal risks.
• Maintain case file from opening to close.
• Maintain client relationships and communicate case status often.
