Job summary

gpac seeks a Senior Litigation Attorney in Chicago to handle sophisticated, high-stakes disputes involving construction, engineering, and infrastructure projects across North America.

The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of substantive litigation experience, exceptional research and writing skills, and the ability to take ownership of complex matters, including heavy motion practice, discovery, and strategic deposition work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of substantive litigation experience in complex commercial, construction, or civil disputes.
• Exceptional legal research and persuasive writing skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex assignments and high-stakes cases.
• Strong motion practice and discovery experience.
• Detail-oriented with capacity to understand technical subject matter.
• Experience with construction, engineering, or architecture projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex commercial, construction, and infrastructure litigation and arbitration.
• Independently conduct sophisticated legal research, factual investigations, and document analysis.
• Draft complex motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other substantive litigation materials.
• Analyze intricate contractual disputes, engineering issues, construction schedules, and technical evidence.
• Manage extensive discovery and document-intensive litigation involving substantial electronic records.
• Work closely with expert witnesses, technical consultants, and experienced litigators.
• Take meaningful ownership of litigation assignments, case strategy, depositions, and hearing preparation.
