OLEVEN is representing an established civil litigation defense firm in Orange County seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney with 10+ years of civil litigation experience who can independently manage complex matters from inception through resolution.

This role offers a hybrid work environment, competitive compensation ($185,000–$220,000 annually) and partnership-track potential, with opportunities to lead substantive motions, depositions, and trial preparation.

Responsabilités

• Independently managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Developing litigation strategies, evaluating liability and exposure, and advising clients.
• Drafting and arguing substantive motions, including summary judgment and dispositive motions.
• Taking and defending depositions, managing discovery, and coordinating with expert witnesses.
• Representing clients at hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Independently managing civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Developing litigation strategies, evaluating liability and exposure, and providing recommendations to clients.
• Drafting and arguing substantive motions, including motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions.
• Taking and defending depositions, managing discovery, and working with expert witnesses.
• Representing clients at hearings, mediations, settlement conferences, and other legal proceedings.
• Preparing cases for trial and participating in trial strategy and preparation.
• Maintaining strong client relationships and collaborating with other experienced attorneys and legal professionals.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• 10+ years of civil litigation experience, including significant experience practicing in California.
• Strong background in civil defense litigation, including general liability and related matters.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex litigation cases.
• Exceptional legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Significant experience with substantive motion practice, discovery, depositions, and litigation strategy.
• Strong judgment, professionalism, and the ability to manage multiple matters effectively.

COMPENSATION & OPPORTUNITY

$185,000–$220,000 annual base salary, depending on experience and qualifications.

WORK LOCATION

• Remote candidates throughout the United States will be considered, provided they hold an active California Bar license.
• Hybrid opportunities are also available at the firm's California offices in Long Beach, Costa Mesa, San Diego, Los Gatos, and Corona.
• Candidates must be able to attend California court appearances and other in-person proceedings when required.
